Who owns each part
Every part of a learning point has a guild that holds the decisive gate for changes to it. That is what “owns” means here: not that only they may touch it, but that a change is not done until they have said yes — and, for the core teaching, that they can say no.

Why a gate and not a lane
A change travels through every review stage in order — writer, pedagogy, theology, and so on. A change to the core teaching still passes the writer’s desk; a change to a metaphor still passes theology. What differs is which desk is the one that cannot be skipped and can refuse. That is the same shape the legal review already uses: the copyright and shepherd guilds hold the decisive actions on legal items, but a legal item still starts as a draft like everything else.
More depth — the two guilds that were promoted for this
Writers and Pedagogy began as interest groups. Owning a part of every learning point is routing authority, and an interest group has none — so both were promoted to full guilds on the same test the Media guild passed earlier: a real bottleneck, enough members, and a credential that means something. Sojourners is the apprentice tier of Theology: it proposes core changes, Theology approves them.
One row is deliberate rather than default. In the schema, an application atom lives inside variants, which would have sent it to the Writers by default. It goes to Pedagogy instead, because choosing how a truth is lived — and typing the checkpoint as a task, a habit or a skill — is a judgement about formation, not about prose. That was ratified by the operator on 2026-07-19.
Technical — where the gate is enforced
Each editorial revision carries an atom_type (core | contrast | variants | contributed) and moves through a fixed stage order; the owning guild’s stage — in_theology_review, in_writer_review, in_pedagogy_review — is the one whose approve/decline is decisive for that type. Audience fit is a separate, sequential stage, not a second sign-off.
